  Gus retired and the new owner/cook is terrible! We tried 4 different things on the new menu and nothing was edible.$15 for 2 scallops and they weren't cooked through. The waitress agreed and took them back to get new ones. He sent her back with the same scallops that had been thrown back in the pan! Now they were really disgusting. We were shocked. The food is over priced and completely void of passion. The only thing good about this place now is the view. We won't be back. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else in the neighborhood instead.

  I love this restaurant! Whether I'm eating in or getting take out for home or to eat on the ferry I just love it! Excellent food and atmosphere! It's family owned and operated and has a great and caring staff. I am still making my way through the menu - favourite food so far is Corinthian pizza and Spanakopita! We highly recommend Bay Moorings! Gorgeous deck bonus!

  Arrived at 1:45 at restaurant thought it was lots of time to get food before 3:00 sailing. Ordered food Fish and chips) and bill at same time to expedite. No food had shown up by 2:30 so just left. No rating on food but service very poor. Fish and chips are a 5minute turnaround time plate. Do not eat here unless you have over two hours before your ferry leaves.

  So so bad. Went for Mother's Day brunch or lunch. Limited set menu only. Very few menu options available. Prices up from those shown on the website. I and one other in our party had an omelette...which wasn't even an omelette but was actually scrambled eggs poured in a half moon shaped pan on the griddle. A few bits of veg mixed in it. And under cooked and luke warm. Came with about 1/4 cup of over cooked McCain homestyle potatoes and a few bits of dried over ripe strawberries and raspberries. No toast, any bread was an extra $5. Others in our party had fish and chips. Looked so shrivelled up and dry and was $17 for 2 small pieces of greasy cod. They said it was pretty medicore. At best. Only good part was the coffee. The whole facility is SO rundown. I only write this in hopes that you save your money, and the restaurant (under new ownership) makes an effort to provide better product or get out of the business. People going out for a meal with their hard earned money deserve so much better. The old Bay Moorings owners would be devastated I bet knowing how this spot, beloved by many North Shorers, has gone steeply down hill.

  Garbage. Overpriced and a joke of a menue, they lure travellers not locals. Don't be fooled. They'll be out of business veeeerrrryyyy soon!
